My Fave fashion Item for the Month of March: OFF SHOULDER tops.

How are you all doing? What have you been up to?

I got an email from a Rebel asking me why I had not put up a post in more than a week. Really? You guys check out for me like that? My God! I don blow. lmao. Well, err Rebel, truth is I have not put out a post because I have been very busy since the past two weeks. I knew I had a little legion of regular visitors but what I didn't know was just how much you cared about this blog. This is just got me feeling all loved up! awwwn.

Anyway, back to the post. I have been raving about off shoulders to anybody who cared to listen in my house. I am totally mind blown by them and then I thought, why don't I share the passion with you rebels?

Well, the off- shoulder trend has been growing on me for some time now. I am absolutely in love with them, by "them" I mean the complete off shoulders tops with frills or full sleeves. I can not wait until I can make or buy one. they are absolute statement pieces that are best worn over tight fitted high waist jean trousers.

They are a complete steal. If you are a fashion lover, please could you just get one already? lol.

In The Balmain Army I trust to Always SLAY!

Balmain is a haute couture fashion house that was founded by Pierre Balmain. Balmain was born in 1914 in France and since then it has gone on to become a force to be reckoned with in the fashion world. With Olivier Rousteing as their creative director he has managed to transform the brand plus his social nature and his ability to mingle and make friends with celebrities ensure that Balmain gets the attention they deserve in the United States.

Special thanks to Kanye West who introduced Kim Kardashian to Balmain as a brand, the brand has enjoyed added publicity and has continued to grow from strength. So when the Balmain Army was ready to strut their stuff on the catwalk everybody got glued to their TV sets/ mobile devices. Their Fall/ Winter collection was amazing and i can just imagine celebrities clawing at each other to get their hands on the latest wears.

I think this collection is amazing and absolutely as wearable as their last collection. I couldn't help but observe that two fashion trends are trying to snake their way into our wardrobes with this collection. They are: the big bold waist belt AND velvet! Yes! Akwa- Ochie is attempting a come back ladies.
I absolutely bought into the trend the last time it was in vogue so i am pretty exited about it comeback. lol. 
This Balmain FALL/ WINTER I6 Collection also features slim accentuated waists and balloon like bottoms. 

Also Balmain had amazing top models strutting the catwalk in all their stuff. These includes: Kendall Jenner (who they made the face of this collection), Gigi Hadid and Jurdan Dunn.

Double Denim Equals DOUBLE fun!

Do you have a pair of denim jeans that constantly get on your nerves that you wish to get rid of? Now cool down tiger, don’t be in a hurry for I bring thee good news. Denims since they came into the fashion world have never gone out of fashion. They have earned all the extra points needed to guarantee them as ICONIC and LEGENDARY in this business of fashion.

We wear denims to almost every function imaginable. From red carpets to house warming ceremonies to beach events to clubs. These days though the true fashionista is viewed as one that can pull off the all denim look. This as I can assure you is not an easy feat. It takes lots of balls to pull off an all denim look.

Rihanna, Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner are some of the many celebrities to try out this trend. You too can, if you follow these few rules.

.  1. Work with your body type. Understand that different people have different body types.

   2. Feel free to throw in a ripped jean into the getup as it is very much in demand now.

3.   As a general rule, lighter shades of denim draw attention to the body parts they cover, while darker washes create a slimming effect. So you could go with a darker shade for your lower half and a lighter shade for your upper half.

4.  Stay completely away from denim accessories. Don’t end up like Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake that year.

Lol. Go for modern accessories.

5.  Whatever you do, remember to slay.

Must have item: the OVERCOAT

The kimono is a long, flowing garment made preferably with a breezy material. It serves as an overcoat except it is best suited for the warm weather. This is what a kimono looks like.

Stylish something huh? Well, it is. It is a great fashion piece that makes a statement whenever you throw it on. Lushfairy has been getting creative and now sells her own designs. Fashion Trend of the month: The crop top.

For this segment of the blog, I have partnered with lushfairy boutique which means I have obtained the rights to use her pictures. I like lushfairy because she has pretty affordable clothing that are very durable and can she dress? Lushfairy herself is something else, she should just be a celebrity stylist already. And incase you are wondering if this is a paid post, ask yourself this key question? Who will pay a blogger whose blog is 2 days old to write cool stuffs about them? Ugh, I thought as much too.

So back to the matter, we are talking crop tops. Crop tops look like these.

The crop top trend started sometime in the 3rd quarter of 2013 with all major designers buying into the trend. At that time, alot of people including myself had thought it to be a fad. Two years down the line and we still haven't gotten a hang out of it. It seems like everyday we discover new things about the crop trend. what you have to understand about the crop top is that it is just like your average top except it is not as long as your average top. Its most distinguishing factor is that it hangs around the belly area. I think the point of wearing a crop top is to show off some flesh- Better toned than anything else if you ask me.

There are several ways to rock the trend and I will be sharing three tips with you. Just sit pretty, I got you.

1. Pair your crop top with free pants : this is a perfect look that can be worn on any occasion be it a wedding, a fundraising gala, a birthday party, a company event, etc. It gives off that effortlessly chic look while still keeping your hoe side slightly visible.

This outfit will be suitable for just about any body type. Why? This is because it doesn't really show off your shape,it flatters your tummy. Ensure that your pants are flowing like hers to get the most out of this outfit.

2. Pair your crop top with a skater skirt : this tip here is life. If you have hot legs then this is for you. If you have a big tummy, this is for you. If you want to look chic and not random then this is for you. Here is what this combination looks like.

If you are not motivated then I suggest you visit a nearby boutique. You need to up your fashion drive. Lol. You could rock the first look to a picnic event or to the beach. you could rock the second look to a party or a red carpet event. You could rock the third look to a naming ceremony. your pick!

3. Pair your crop top with a Jean trouser: this look is the regular mall look. Why not? It is a great combination and requires no much ado.
